Summary: CLIMA TERRA uses identified external data, organises it through defined rules and criteria, and presents interpretations and recommendations reviewed under human responsibility. Artificial intelligence has been used as a development support tool, not to invent the displayed weather or environmental values.
Purpose of CLIMA TERRA
CLIMA TERRA presents weather, environmental and air-quality information in a visual, understandable and people-focused format. It is not an official weather service and does not replace public warnings, emergency services or medical and professional advice.
Data sources
- Open-Meteo: temperature, apparent temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, ultraviolet index and air quality.
- OpenStreetMap and Nominatim: location search, geocoding and descriptive place references.
- Netlify: hosting and technical delivery of the web experience.
Availability, accuracy, update frequency and coverage depend on the original sources. Data may come from models, observations, estimates or combinations of them, so differences may exist compared with local stations, official services or other applications.
How data is processed and interpreted
CLIMA TERRA transforms retrieved values into visual indicators, descriptive levels and general recommendations. These interpretations rely on predefined and reviewed rules, ranges and texts; they are not diagnoses or decisions automatically generated by a generative model for each query.

Interpretation references
When an information window needs additional context, CLIMA TERRA may link to documentation from organisations such as the World Health Organization, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or NASA. These organisations provide public reference context: they do not supply CLIMA TERRA’s current values, calculate its results, validate or sponsor the project, or maintain an official relationship with it.
Use of artificial intelligence
CLIMA TERRA was developed with the support of artificial intelligence tools for programming, design, structuring, reviewing and improving content.
Artificial intelligence is used as an assistive tool during development. The displayed weather, environmental and air-quality data comes from the identified sources and is not generated by an artificial intelligence model within CLIMA TERRA.
The selection, review, interpretation and publication of the experience remain under human supervision and responsibility. CLIMA TERRA does not currently use a generative model to create personalised responses, alter original data or automatically produce new recommendations for each query.
This statement is provided as a voluntary transparency measure in consideration of the European framework for AI-related systems and content. It does not claim that every data point or element of the experience is subject to mandatory labelling as AI-generated content.

Location and privacy
When users choose to use their location, permission is managed by the browser or operating system. Coordinates are used for the requested query and are not permanently stored by the application. Manual search is also available. Full details are provided in the Privacy Policy.
Limitations and responsibility
Information may contain delays, estimates, deviations or periods of unavailability. Official authorities and qualified professionals should always be consulted for hazards, alerts, emergencies, health decisions or safety-sensitive activities.
